Las Lagunas Miscanti y Miñique, llamadas también Lagunas Altiplánicas, se ubican por sobre los 4 000 m.s.n.m, 115 km al sureste de San Pedro de Atacama. Sus paisajes, que se encuentran en la sección más apartada de la Reserva Nacional Los Flamencos, son una mezcla de desierto, montañas, agua y sí, hielo, dada las bajísimas temperaturas del lugar (por lo que se recomienda ir muy abrigado para su visita).
El terreno de ambas lagunas abarca 10 977 hectáreas, teniendo la laguna Miscanti una superficie 15 km2 cuadrados; mientras que la laguna Miñiques, 1 500 km2 cuadrados. Las lagunas, cuyas fuentes de agua son subterráneas, se ubican a los pies de dos volcanes, con los que comparten el mismo nombre: Miscanti y Miñiques, de 5 622 y 5 910 metros de altura respectivamente.
Por su riqueza natural, el área alberga innumerables especies animales, en particular de aves altiplánicas que utilizan las lagunas como zona reproductiva y de anidación. Entre las aves que se pueden encontrar está la tagua cornuda, el pato juarjual, el pato jergón chico, el flamenco chileno, la gaviota andina, el blanquillo y el playero de Baird. En sus alrededores, es posible también divisar grupos de vicuñas.
En el camino, está el poblado de Socaire, lugar en que han perdurado a través del tiempo las tradiciones ancestrales de sus habitantes, pastores o agricultores que cultivan la “pachamama”, utilizando el antiguo sistema de terrazas andinas. Regreso al hotel.

Calling all travellers who are adventurous, fun, and love meeting new people – we’ve got something for you! It’s time to get to know Santiago like a true local – by experiencing its nightlife! Start things off where Santiago started – Plaza de Armas – and head straight for a local bar. Your transformation into a real Santiaguino begins now, as we teach you how to order your first drink in Spanish. Don’t worry if you don’t get it right the first time, there’s plenty of time to practice this evening (and don’t we all get better at languages after a drink or two?!).
Enjoy your typical Chilean drink in the company of locals, really experiencing Santiago’s social culture. From there, we’ll venture off to the next bar, about a 15 minute walk away. As we walk, your local guide will share stories about life in Santiago and answer any questions you have. This next bar is one of our favourites, as its atmosphere is one of true political satire. Great drinks and politician mockery? What’s not to love?! Next up we head to our third bar, this one located in the Bellavista neighbourhood. One of our (and most locals’) favourite neighbourhoods to hang out in, Bellavista is mostly home to Bohemians and artists. It’s full of street art, hipster shops, fantastic restaurants, and plenty of pubs, discos, bars, and other great spots to spend the evening.
The finish off the tour, we’ll take you to the best salsa nightclub in Santiago, where you’ll be treated to a salsa lesson. Learn the moves, then spend the rest of the evening dancing the night away with your new friends in the beautiful city of Santiago de Chile. Note that on Saturdays the salsa lessons are unavailable – we still end the evening in a salsa bar, but rather spend the time enjoying good beer and live music instead of learning to dance.
Tour around the main high spots of both cities, such as: Libertad Av. in Viña del Mar, coastal area up to Reñaca, San Martín Av., casino and Reloj de Flores (Clock of Flowers), the city’s symbol. The tour continues to Valparaíso with an optional tour to La Sebastiana, porteño residence of the poet Pablo Neruda, a place with a viewpoint to the Bay and the peculiar architecture of the houses on the slopes of the hills.
Visit to Paseo 21 de Mayo to see a traditional funicular or elevator. The tour continues to Cerro Concepción, one of the most traditional and best preserved, where it is possible to appreciate the strong Anglo-Saxon immigration influence on their streets and buildings. Emprende un emocionante viaje a Pirque, una de las zonas vinícolas más reconocidas del país, a unos 20 Km al sur de Santiago. Allí te recibirá un guía en la Plaza Don Melchor, que te invitará cordialmente a disfrutar de vistas panorámicas de los viñedos al tiempo que degustas una copa de vino. Empápate de los aromas y sabores que desprende una bodega centenaria.
Camina por el antiguo parque y retrocede en el tiempo al admirar la Casona de Pirque, hogar de la familia Concha y Toro y cuna de la empresa vitivinícola más grande del país. En este espectacular lugar de más de 100 años podrás conocer cómo se cultivan las vides y la tecnología y materiales utilizados en la producción del vino. Recorre las antiguas instalaciones y sé testigo de una leyenda, Concha y Toro, que te obsequiará con una copa de Cabernet Sauvignon antes de finalizar tu visita.
Recorre Santiago y descubre la ciudad a través de los ojos de los lugareños. Esta metrópolis en expansión es enorme y cada rincón está decorado con una arquitectura urbana monumental. Este tour te permite meterte de lleno en la historia y en el presente de Chile y de su gente.
Visita el impresionante Cerro Santa Lucía y déjate maravillar por los restos de un volcán de hace 15 millones de años que hoy en día acoge enormes barrios. También podrás ver el barrio cívico de Santiago, con fantásticos edificios y con estupendas zonas para explorar. El segundo día aún absorberás más información; cuando el tour salga de tu hotel en Santiago, dejando atrás la capital, te dejarás llevar por el poder del Océano Pacífico mientras nos dirigimos a Valparaíso. Al pasar por el valle de Curacaví te sorprenderá la tremenda diversidad de paisajes de camino al valle de Casablanca. Para que disfrutes al máximo el viaje y todo lo que te ofrece haremos una parada en el camino para que puedas visitar una hostería típica conocida como Millahue. Aprovecha el momento para probar una típica bebida chilena llamada Chicha.
La primera imagen de Valparaíso que verás es un deleite en sí misma; el principal puerto del país se encuentra acurrucado a los pies de la ciudad mientras muestra su esplendor latinoamericano. Departing from Santiago Airport, you arrive in the different world that is the Pacific coast. Pass through the enchanting vineyards of the Curacavi and Casablanca valleys before entering Valparaiso that translates from Spanish as Paradise Valley, which is very believable once you witness it yourself! Serving as one of the most important ports in Chile, this cultural hotspot is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its charismatic cobblestone streets, historic buildings and ancient funiculars along the sloping hills.

The three granite Towers that give Torres del Paine National Park its name are the dominant feature of the landscape and can be appreciated from many different angles and many viewpoints around the park. This guided trekking is one of the most iconic treks in Patagonia and will lead you to the turquoise glacial pool at the very foot at the Towers themselves.
The trek will take you along stunning valleys and over small streams, while there is always the chance of spotting condors floating on the thermals. Towards the end of the valley the path becomes hard work as you climb up to the look out, it is best compared to climbing up an even staircase of several hundred steps. This can be exhausting but worth the because when you reach the top the view is indescribable.
To see and explore the beauty of Easter Island on a horse is a typical Rapa Nui experience, and it is also a way to preserve the ecosystem. A network of tracks leads to some of the most beautiful places of the island, which can only be explored on a horse. This way, visitors can reach areas away from other tourists, without necessarily being an experienced rider. A variety of excursions and horseback riding trips are offered, which go from some places near Hanga Roa to more remote places such as Orongo, Anakena, Rano Raraku or the north coast.
