Castells (literaly, castles) have been built in the Tarragona region for over 200 years. Beyond the plasticity, the challenge, and the constant technical improvement, castells are a intergenerational activity where everyone has its spot and function. A tradition labeled as Humanity Heritage by the UNESCO that balances technical and safety improvements with heritage.
This tour will introduce you to that Catalan tradition, learn how castells are built and dismantled, the differences between each structures and their difficulties, about the castellers attire, build the most difficult castell in the shortest time, dress on a sash and take part on a rehearsal of Xiquets de Reus in their training facilities.
Duration: Two hours and-a-half for the tour, dinner and rehearsal (part of it).
